General Terms and Conditions

Old Guy Radiola is forced to issue the following policy statement effective Jan 1, 2013. We apologize in advance to all the honest buyers. These policies are put in place due to a few unscrupulous buyers who do not have integrity. We strive to make our customers happy by offering a wide variety of Vacuum Tubes, and other merchandise, at reasonable prices. Unless otherwise stated all Tubes are 100% Tested, Guaranteed ( see return policy), and carefully packaged to prevent shipping damage. Shipping will generally take place within 2 business days of receipt of payment. Payment is expected within 3 days of purchase. NOS – This is “New Old Stock” and since vacuum tubes were made 30 – 70 years ago New Old Stock may have cosmetic evidence of age.  This includes poor print, oxidized pins, faint discoloration, or some grime. Unless otherwise indicated in the listing we test all tubes to assure they function “as new”. Seller Refurbished – These are tubes that are used with clear discolorations from use. Unless otherwise indicated in the listing as “as is” we test all tubes to assure they function above the minimum rating. For heavy oxidation we will clean the pins. Photographs – Examine the photographs carefully to assure that the item meets your expectation for print, discoloration, oxidation and other cosmetic features. These are photographs of the actual product listed, we do not use “Stock Photograph Tone Quality / Noise / Microphonics:  The tone, noise, Microphonics of a vacuum tube is very subjective. Standard testing of the tubes that we offer for sale do not include any of this type of testing. Tubes with this type of testing and selection are typically 2 to 3 time more expensive than our pricing. When our listings include descriptions such as “sounds great” or “low noise” this refers to the general opinion of the audiophile industry for a specific manufacturer and tube construction. International Shipments: We strive to service the international community by offering low cost First Class Shipping. This method of Shipment does not track once it leaves the US. We can only guarantee these items have left the US. If the Seller chooses this type of delivery they cannot make any claim for “not received”. We recommend the buyer purchase shipment options with tracking. Unfortunately these services are more expensive, and any additional cost shall be the buyers responsibility.  For additional services and cost please contact us for a price quote before payment.
